Which Aspect Ratio Should You Use?
Picking the right ratio before you crop saves you from re-doing it later — most platforms expect a specific shape, and cropping to the wrong one usually means part of your image gets cut off or padded with empty space. Here's what each option in the dropdown above is actually for:
Free
No fixed shape — drag the crop box to any width and height. Best when you already know the exact pixel dimensions you need, or you're framing a shot by eye.
Square (1:1)
